Creative Partners was founded in 1991 by Nancy Hiler as a home-based corporate writing, marketing and creative services enterprise. Although Nancy continues to handle the creative herself, including conceptual and writing, she calls upon other 'partners' such as printers, graphic designers, videographers, website technology experts and others as needed.
Background
Having worked in a number of writing, editing, creative services, and marketing positions in management and financial services companies in Manhattan for more than a dozen years, Nancy founded her own home-based company (now on Long Island!) while raising her two then-toddler-aged sons. She started by responding to requests from former employers by providing a helping hand with a few brochures, newsletters and other materials. Soon Nancy became a consultant to various clients on an as-needed basis, including some whom remain clients to this day. In no time her part-time business became full-time, and the roster of clients grew, as Nancy provided company brochures, website content, newsletters, marketing fliers and the like -- see "Services" -- to a variety of organizations ranging from corporate leadership education to solar energy, and everything in between. Over the years, Nancy also became active in the local Long Island community in which she lives, and worked as a local newspaper reporter, an online reporter and columnist, and blogger. See "News" page for a few samples of her community journalism articles in the Herald and the Patch, her 'Go Green Gal' column advocating environmental practices, and her 'Long Island Solar Energy Examiner' blog.

An abbreviated bio, for those of you expecting this type of thing:As part of running her own marketing company, Creative Partners, Nancy Hiler works as an in-house consultant, VP, Marketing, for Built Well Solar Corp., the Bellmore-based solar energy company for which she has been consulting for seven years, and also works as the Managing Editor of a public energy company's quarterly newsletter, Energy NewsLine. As far as her education, her environmental roots go back to as far as a college semester as an intern involved in the Clean Air Act on Capitol Hill and as far as other education, Hofstra University, B.A., Political Science; Phi Beta Kappa, Departmental Honors, etc./NYU Graduate School of Journalism. Nancy has held several positions in writing, communications, public relations and marketing. Most recently a reporting and columnist position with the Bellmore Patch and a reporting spot with the Bellmore Herald, before that Nancy was Vice President, Marketing for the real estate investement/financial services firm Integrated Resources, Marketing Manager for insurance provider Physicians Planning Service, and Public Relations Associate for non-profit management education organization American Management Association. Since about one-third of her current client's work revolves around energy -- and all of this takes more and more energy as she ages (what with also single-parenting her two now-college-age angelic sons -- no, seriously, they are pretty great), Nancy is pleased to be the Long Island Solar Energy Examiner as well as a Patch blogger ("Go Green Gal" columnist and contributor) exploring the ordinary and extraordinary idea that everything is energy... or is that energy is everything? All this perhaps proving once again that if you want something done, give it to a busy person.
